Conor Kostick was a designer for the world's first live action role-playing company, Treasure Trap. He lives in Dublin where he teaches the crusades at Trinity College. He is the author of many historical, political and cultural articles. Epic was his first novel and was awarded a place on the International Board on Books for Young People Honours list for 2006 and on Booklists top 10 SF/Fantasy books for 2007. The sequel to Epic is Saga, first published in Ireland late in 2006. A book for younger readers The Book of Curses is due out later this year and a novel exploring what might happen if you could move to adjacent universes at will is scheduled for 2008.
Conor is also the editor of Socialist Worker in Ireland and a reviewer for the Journal of Music in Ireland. He was twice chairperson of the Irish Writers' Union.
